The Stainless Steel 440C Flat Bars are high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, containing around 16–18% chromium, 0.95–1.2% carbon, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. This unique blend gives the material outstanding hardness, impressive wear resistance, and decent corrosion resistance. On the mechanical side, it boasts a tensile strength ranging from 760 to 1,000 MPa and a yield strength between 450 and 700 MPa, with hardness levels soaring up to 58–60 HRC after heat treatment. Thanks to its martensitic structure, it can be heat-treated to achieve exceptional strength and durability while still being easy to machine for precision applications.
