These Stainless Steel 317 Bars and Rods are made up of 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, with a carbon content of ≤0.08% to boost corrosion resistance. This austenitic stainless steel is known for its excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a tensile strength of 515–720 MPa, a yield strength of around 205–450 MPa, and a density of 8 g/cm³.
