These Stainless Steel 316 Bars and Rods primarily consist of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, with a carbon content of ≤0.08%. The addition of molybdenum significantly boosts corrosion and pitting resistance, particularly in chloride-rich settings. Their mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 485–700 MPa, a yield strength of about 170–300 MPa, and a density of 8 g/cm³. This austenitic stainless steel showcases remarkable ductility, weldability, and toughness, even in cryogenic conditions, making it an excellent choice for use in harsh and corrosive industrial environments.
