SS 321 Hollow Bar offers excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures, particularly in environments prone to scaling. Its stability in elevated temperatures and resistance to sensitization make it ideal for applications in heat exchangers and exhaust systems.
The addition of titanium in SS 321 stabilizes carbon, preventing the formation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries. This reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, improving the alloy's resistance to corrosion in high-temperature environments and aggressive chemical conditions.
In aerospace, SS 321 Hollow Bar is used for exhaust systems, jet engine components, and fuel systems due to its high-temperature resistance. In the chemical industry, it's used for heat exchangers, reactors, and piping in corrosive environments.
These bars find extensive use in industries that require materials resistant to corrosion and heat. In the chemical and petrochemical sectors, they are perfect for heat exchangers, piping, and reactor vessels that come into contact with aggressive chemicals. In aerospace, they are utilized in turbine components, exhaust systems, and high-temperature structural parts. The marine industry also benefits from their use in equipment exposed to seawater and offshore structures. Furthermore, Stainless Steel 321 Hollow Bars are essential in power generation, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries, where durability is key.
