Cu-Ni Alloy Threaded Rods

Copper-nickel bars and rods are manufactured from two of the most common alloys: 90/10 Cu-Ni, which contains 90% copper and 10% nickel, and 70/30 Cu-Ni, which contains 70% copper and 30% nickel. The 90/10 Cu-Ni alloy has moderate mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of about 240 MPa, and excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater. The 70/30 Cu-Ni alloy has higher tensile strength of up to 550 MPa and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Both alloys display excellent weldability, formability, and fatigue resistances to make them ideally suitable for applications in marine, industrial, and electrical environments where durability is essential as well as performance.
